Generic News - Arcana Tarot Build

most peeps of Buddyfight Gen Sg would probably know that i am a fanatic for 'Generic' Cards in the Buddyfight series. Seeing the Generic (Tarot/Arcana) growing into a much 'playable' deck built also made me pretty happy. Although, feedback so far was still quite on the 'bad' side with comments like, the support cards are Weak, useless, too much cost, bias to only Tarot built... and so on.

I continue to stress that, Generics ARE Generics Not a main but support built, able to 'Assist' ALL Worlds and have almost no 'Negates' to keep it real. (Thou i won't mind having some) If the Generics are too OP, the main decks will lose its integrity, therefore Generic are becoming more Generic 'Advantageous' so that players can play a higher percentage if you want to play a mix Generic/World build. I have seen pretty powerful Magic and Katana Generic Hybrids around. so i don't see the 'complaints' viable.

I personally play a FULL Generic Deck, even made my own Un-official Flag that people whom are fans requested me to write in to Bushiroad to make it Official. Well, i would but lets just keep it personal for now ya~

Not in the list are the support <Spells> and <Item> cards. The upcoming Booster Vol.4 revealed two new <Spell> cards that once again increases the 'Tarot/Arcana' support.


 
Fortune-Shield <Spell>
[Cast Cost]:0
[Counter] Choose a monster in battle, and for this battle, give it defense +2000 and [Counterattack]!
THEN, if that card has 'Actor Knights' in its card name. for this battle, give it defense +3000.

The Good, if you are playing a mostly or full Generic Tarot deck build, a costless +5000 defense and [Counterattack] counter spell is a pain to opponents whom think a weak 3000 defense card can be destroyed, when it becomes 8000 after!
The Bad, a Shield. This card would then again be even more of a support if it could give a little +Attack power support instead of only Defense. but its better than none~

 
Arcana Flash <Spell>
[Cast Cost]: 3 gauge
Reveal Five Cards from the top of your deck. For Each monster with 'Actor Knights' in its card name from among them, Deal 1 damage to your opponent! Then put the Revealed cards on the bottom of your deck in any order.

The Good, In my opinion, This should be an Impact Card! Quite powerful if a player is mostly packed with Actor Knights in its deck, with a not too painful 3 gauge, get to deal up to 5 Critical Damage to the opponent. Revealed cards do not get discarded, making it a good deck sampling opportunity.
The Bad, not really useful for players with Hybrid deck builds as you might fall short on the Ratio of Actor Knights and get 2 or even 0 on draw match ability. Making this card yet another "Bias" designed card.

<Whats Next?>
Now the only mechanism 'missing' in the Generic Card type would be a Real 'Negate' attack card. Generic lack versatility in Negates, of course there is 'Castling' with nullify an attack by paying 1 Gauge and Discarding 1 card from field. Its painful to use. Would be nice if the good people of Bushiroad could design a 'Drop from hand and nullify attack' mechanism similar of the Ancient World. A perfect Monster Card would be:

Actor Knights, The Tower (example)
<Size 3> 0 Attack, 1 Crit and 8000 Defense
[Call Cost]:1 gauge.(you may only use this card on your opponents Attack turn)
[Counter]When 2 or more 'Actor Knights' are on the field, you may discard this card from your hand, if you do, Nullify the Attack!

THIS although an example, would be a great card to have, and would probably 'Complete' the playability of a Full Generic Tarot/Arcana deck build.

But as of now, with the new 4 Generics cards coming in BT04, the Generics are getting more playable as a deck. Can't wait to try it out at the upcoming events.

New Spells & Impacts
Devil Stigma >Spell, [Counter] Destroy a monster on your field, if it is destroyed, put the top 2 cards of your deck into gauge, and gain 1 life.
Judgement Day>Spell, [Cast Cost]:1 gauge. For that turn, all "Death" monsters on the your field get critical+1. Only use once per turn.
Nightmare Despair>Impact, when 5 or more "Death" cards are in your drop zone, pay 3 gauge and [Stand] your opponent's center monster and for that turn, it gets critical+1, attacks your opponent with that monster!


Death Ruler, Garos> Size 1, 2000 Atk, 2 Crit and 1000 Def. Able to attack opponent even when theres a monster in center. If attack on opponent is successful, Lifepoint +1.

Black Revenger>Spell,When you have 5 life or less, Pay 1 gauge. Put a size 1 and a size 2 monster from your drop zone, and put to hand.

[Spectral Strike] Deals Critical Damage to your opponent upon an attack on the opponent monster.

Summary
Apparently this EB02 was a initiative to support the previously released TD01/02. By adding supports from this Booster the TDs can become a very stable play deck. 
The highlight for the EB02 in my opinion is really the 'Ace' as mentioned in my previous posts and Danger World support Spell cards. A wide variation of Spells ranging from Spell Negates, to Damage to Gauge converters, to Gauge Stealer and Life Heals. Whats lacking is the lack of Card Drawing Mechanics. At the Moment only 'Survival Chance' is available. Would definitely need a better Draw Mechanic spell.

Dragon World however introduced the Azure Sky Knights with Healing advantages when called to field and during attacks. The highlight would definitely be the addition of yet another Shield~ 'Flying Dragon Shield' which reduces a Damage to player to 0 and heals 1 Lifepoint when pay 1 gauge call cost. 
 

So... the 16 negate Shields combo for you?!?!?

Next release will be the new Darkness Dragon World TD and also BT04 which introduces Legend World , DDW and more Tarot Supports~

Buddyfight Accessories Promo Card Campaign (Japan)

Here's a short review on the New Accessories that was recently released in August 2014 in Japan. Accessories designs are from Dragon World, Danger World and Ancient World Characters and Monsters.
Each Accessory (Sleeves, Deck Case and Deck Storage Box comes with one PR Card each)


Dragon World Accessories
PR Card: WindWrath Dragon (Armordragon/Golden Dragon)
A Size 2 Monster with an attack of 5000 and Defense of 4000 with 2 Critical Damage Points. No Cost to Call and have the special [Act] ability to Destroy ALL 'Rested' Size 1 Monsters on the opponent field if the player chooses to 'Rest' the card  by paying just 1 Gauge.
Although with the Size 2/ 2 Crit no cost combo, I don't think it can replace 'Jamadhar Dragon' (Size 2/ 2 Crit Atk:8000/ Def:4000 )slots but maybe adding a Couple to add versatility to a deck doesn't seem too bad.


Danger World Accessories
PR Card: Steel Blooded Dragon, Gavaldine (Duel Dragon)
Size 2 Monster with an attack of 5000 and Defense of 5000 with 2 Critical Damage Points. 2 Gauge to Call. [Act] ability to [Counterattack] if Destroying the Card was not successful due to [Soulguard] or any counter. 
Much Similar to 'Fighting Dragon, Demongodol' with slightly better Defense (Demongodol at Def:3000) but only has 1 [Soulguard] whilst 'Demongodol' has 2 [Soulguard]


Ancient World Accessories
PR Card: Destruction Dragon Emperor, Gatastol (Dragon Lord)
A Size 3 Monster with an attack of 6000 and Defense of 7000 with 3 Critical Damage Points. No Cost to Call.With [Lifelink:1] When this card is discarded from hand with 1 Gauge, in the presence of a Size 3 Monster in player's Field, Destroy 1 Size 2 or less Monster in Opponent Field.
Pretty nifty and Important card to the Ancient World which is lacking in Real playable Size 3's. Good Defense and acceptable Attack attributes and a easily overseen 1 lifelink only. A must have in Ancient World Deck builds.


The Deck Storage Box can house up to 4 Medium Sized Deck Boxes (55pc Double Sleeved)
