Link Attacks and Criticals

Hi there Buddies, there seems to be an influx of mails to us on the Link Attack Rulings and Penetrate Critical Effects. So, to make things really Simple, i took some time to put up a Visual Presentation on the Link Attack methods and Critical Effects.

Normal Link Attack on opponent Monster

Link Attack on opponent Player (Flag)

Link Attack on opponent Target Monster with 1 [Penetrate] card

Link Attack on opponent Target Monster with 2 [Penetrate] cards

Hope this clears up the mess. And remember, every 'Battle Turn' Ends when the 'TARGET' monster/player takes damage, gets Destroyed or Evades an Attack totally.

NEW Buddyfight Rules Revamp

Hi Buddies, bet most of you must have heard about the New Buddyfight Rulings and probably don't know what to expect or are just confused by all this guessing around.

In response to the epic mess up now, i came up with a simple explanation to the 2 new 'feature' to this rulings.

1) During a "Link Attack" against a PLAYER the critical damage will be combined.
This 'feature' applies to monsters "Attacking Together" on a PLAYER as a SINGLE Attack.
Critical on the Linked Cards will be Combined Once the Attack on the PLAYER successful.

-"Link Attack" for Cards with the [Penetrate] ability

Came up with a simple concept below to explain this problem.

a) X is a Monster with [Penetrate] ability.
b) X "Link Attack" with another Monster Y with NO [Penetrate] ability.
Scenario 1: In the scenario when both of X and Y Hits the PLAYER successfully, X and Y's Combined Critical will be taken.
Scenario 2: In the scenario when both X and Y Hits the PLAYER's CENTER MONSTER successfully, ONLY X's Critical Damage will go thru as X is the Only Monster with the [Penetrate] ability. NO Combine Critical for this case.

*Only when BOTH Monsters in the "Link Attack" have [Penetrate] abilities, then the Critical Damage WILL BE COMBINED.

That being said, a "Link Attack" is NOT allowed to be performed on THE FIRST TURN. *duh* if not too imbar, dun you think?

2) Each player can only perform a [Counter] once during a battle. Once you uses a [Counter] you will have to wait till the end of that battle before you can cast another [Counter].

This one is simple. In each Battle you can only use [Counter] Spell ONCE
You can use normal Spell Cards as much as you can but for Spells with [Counter] only ONCE.

Senario 1:
Player A used a [Counter] Spell to charge up the Attack Power of a Monster so that it can successfully Attack an opponent Monster.
In response to that Attack, Player B uses a [Counter] Spell to Increase the Targeted Monster Defense to counter the Attack. Since both player used [Counter] once in this battle. NO MORE [Counter] Spells can be used. Player B will nullify Attack. PERIOD.

*Thou this example is given, i have my Doubts about it as i still think a [Counter] Spell should ONLY be used when in an opponent attack phase and not before an attack on one. I mean hey, thats what the word "Counter" means right?

*Only Dragoenergy is ALLOWED do multiple "stacking" per time at the moment.
Will be Expecting all "****energy" [Counter] Spell Cards to be able to do so.
Senario 2:
Player A uses a Monster of 10000 Power and Attack an opponent Monster with 2000 Defense.
In response to that overwhelming attack, Player B plays 3 Dragoenergy [Counter] spell to Bring its Defense to 11000. And since the Opponent Monster did not get destroyed, It Attacks back as a Counter effect of Dragoenergy.
Player A, since DID NOT play any [Counter] yet, plays 1 Dragoenergy in response to the counter attack and raised its defense to 13000. After the effect of Dragoenergy counter attacks Player B's Monster.
Player CANNOT play another [Counter] Spell as he already did. Monster gets destroyed. PERIOD.

Hope this write up can help Buddies have a better view of the new Rulings.

Official announcements will be made soon by BushiRoad before the 17th May 2014.
